*** Application Instructions for Graduate Admission/Readmission***

Thank you for your interest in Georgia Southwestern State University. As you complete your application, please consider the following:  

1. Read all instructions carefully.
2. Review your Admission Checklist. Both degree and non-degree admission checklists provide important information about the application process.
3. The application for admission must be completed and submitted to the appropriate academic school.
4. Former GSW graduate students who have not been enrolled within one calendar year must apply for readmission.
5. Applicants applying for readmission who have attended other institutions since their last enrollment at GSW must submit an official transcript from those institutions.
6. Applicants educated outside of the United States and International Students are responsible for reviewing additional requirements on the International Student Admission Checklist.
7. Applicants wishing to defer an application to a subsequent semester should consult with the appropriate academic school.
8. If your application requires submission of a standardized test (GRE, MAT, or GMAT) score, it is recommended that you take the test at least 4 weeks prior to the admission deadline to allow adequate time for receipt of your scores.
9. Official acceptance is conveyed to the applicant in a formal letter issued by the Academic School. Admission is granted for a specific semester and is validated by registration for that semester.
10. Georgia Southwestern State University requires immunization documents from all newly admitted students.
11. Please note that applications not received and completed by the application deadline may not be processed.
12. All application documents become the property of Georgia Southwestern State University and cannot be returned or forwarded to a third party. We strongly urge you to keep a copy of your submitted application.
13. If you are not able to download the application (s), please contact the appropriate school so a hard copy of the application (s) can be mailed to you.
